Anam Ahsan

Anam Ahsan is a PhD student within the Nanostructure and Drug Delivery group at University of South Australia, having previously completed MPhil (Pharmacology), and PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy). During her master’s by research degree, she worked on the development of silver nanoparticles encapsulated hydrogel patches for the treatment of wound infections. She also gained four years’ experience as a research associate at Shanxi Agricultural University, China, where she worked on various research projects and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students. Anam’s PhD project focuses on developing liquid crystal lipid nanoparticles (LCNPs) as a novel drug delivery system to combat Gram-negative bacterial biofilm infections. Anam’s research interests include drug delivery; nanomedicine; lipid nanoparticles; inorganic nanoparticles; antimicrobial resistance (AMR); biofilms; microbiology assays; hydrogels; wound infections.
